The Story Behind the Singapore Sling

The Singapore Sling was created in the early 20th century at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. Originally crafted as a ladies' drink, it cleverly disguised gin with a medley of fruity flavors, making it socially acceptable for women to enjoy a cocktail in public. Over the years, the recipe has evolved, but its exotic allure remains timeless.
